Mary Schwarz is a freelance cultural sector consultant with a portfolio of work in research, strategy development, evaluation and facilitation. She has held posts in regional arts bodies, local government, the voluntary sector and higher education, where she was founding Director of the Centre for Creative Enterprise & Participation at Dartington College of Arts.
Dr Karen Yair was Research and Information Manager at the Crafts Council (2008-2010) and led on convening Assemble 2010. Karen has worked in a range of regional and national research and public policy roles, with a focus on the creative and cultural industries. With a background in glass making, Karen’s doctoral research explored the role of craft in new product development. Karen now works as a freelance research and policy consultant specialising in the cultural and creative industries.
